Our Brand Story

Rooted in Tradition

As the daughter of an Italian father, food and wine were always part of the table, and as the daughter of an East Texan mother, no occasion was too insignificant for dining on fine China; So when my parents bought our childhood home, it was the beautiful dining room that sold them – a space to become the heart of the home for family dinners, celebrations, and memories to come.

The Art of Hosting

My parents were known for their love of hosting – dinner parties, holiday meals, and Trivial Pursuit nights. I'd watch my mother set the table with thoughtfulness and intention - because, to her, a beautifully set table was more than decoration; it was a way of honoring the occasion of gathering and showing gratitude for the time and presence of each guest.

I now carry this ritual into my own home & love being able to create a space around the table where conversation and connection naturally unfold.

Creativity Beyond the 9-to-5

By day, my career as a CPA requires rigorous precision, fast-paced adaptation, and systematic problem-solving. For as long as I can remember, crafting has been my creative outlet - infusing color and texture by hand into my world of numbers and automated routines.

Whether making resin keychains or watercolor painting a thank you note, I cherish the joy of making something by hand – something thoughtful, personal, and meant to be shared.

The Spark: Where It Began

House of Hez began with multiple glasses and a single question: "Which glass is mine?"

What started as a small frustration while having friends over one night quickly revealed a bigger gap: I couldn't find a single wine charm that struck the right balance of beauty, function, and ease of use. Nor were there any options that let me build a charm set the same way I would style a table or choose jewelry - so I decided to make my own! I began creating drink charms inspired by my lifelong love of gemstones & jewelry - pieces that felt elegant, modern, and versatile enough for all occasions.

The Name

Between napkin folds and lighting dinner candles, I became Hez — my mother’s nickname for me since I was a young girl.

House of Hez is inspired by the way she taught me to host — setting the table with beauty and intention as a way to honor occasions, create connection, and celebrate togetherness.

XOXO,
Hez
